Choosing how to buy a corporate showroom is a decision about responsibilities before it is a decision about suppliers. A team buying design, fabrication, construction and multimedia together needs a different brief from a team appointing specialists separately. For a project in China, compare the delivery arrangements against your design maturity, internal decision-making capacity and the work already appointed.

Choose the arrangement around the work you actually need

An integrated showroom design-and-build scope can bring several packages into one coordinated proposal. Separate appointments can suit a client that already has a design team, established technical requirements or suppliers it needs to retain. Neither arrangement removes the need for a clear scope, approvals or acceptance criteria.

ArrangementUseful whenClarify before appointment
Integrated showroom deliveryYou need spatial development, fabrication, site work and media planned together.Which services sit inside the appointment, who approves design and what is excluded.
Client-appointed design with local deliveryAn existing concept needs detailing, fabrication and installation in China.Who owns design changes, drawings, material selections and site information.
Separate specialist packagesYou need a defined interactive, content or AV package within a wider project.Who coordinates power, network, mounting, content, access and integrated testing.

Make “one team” a responsibility schedule

Ask a prospective showroom contractor to name the deliverables behind an integrated offer. Design development, custom exhibit fabrication, building services coordination, film production and equipment installation are different activities. A broad description such as turnkey should lead to a written list of included packages rather than an assumption that every task is covered.

For each package, identify its designer, approver, producer, installer and testing owner. Identify work retained by the client, landlord or another contractor. If several parties must contribute to a single exhibit, assign a person to coordinate the interfaces and record unresolved decisions.

Compare how changes will be handled

A product range can change while drawings are being developed. A media format can change after a screen recess has been detailed. Ask how each delivery arrangement would record the change, assess its effects and obtain approval before production proceeds.

Separate appointments require the client or its project manager to coordinate more interfaces. An integrated appointment still needs clear client approvals and a process for changes outside the agreed scope. Ask for examples of the proposed review documents and reporting format, without assuming that a supplier’s previous project has the same requirements as yours.

Evaluate a contractor using relevant evidence

Shortlist work that resembles your communication task, not only your preferred visual style. A technical product showroom, a smart living experience center and a temporary exhibition stand have different operating needs. Review the OFILM product-display reference and INHE technology-showroom reference for different relationships between physical products and media.

Distinguish site photographs, installation-stage views and design visualizations. Ask what the supplier actually delivered on a reference project and how that experience relates to your proposed scope. Images alone do not establish the extent of an appointment.

Issue the same comparison brief to shortlisted teams

  • Project location, current plans, site status and target audiences.
  • Design stage and the parties already appointed.
  • Required physical exhibits, content and digital systems.
  • Packages included, retained by others or still undecided.
  • Review milestones, intended opening window and approval responsibilities.
  • Expected demonstrations, documentation, training and support discussions.

Then use a shared quotation comparison to identify differences in assumptions before comparing totals. A proposal should make uncertain items visible rather than conceal them in an attractive headline.

Discuss the delivery model with DASHI DIGITAL

We can discuss an integrated corporate showroom scope in China, construction and fabrication from an existing design, or a defined multimedia and AV package. Send the project city, design stage and packages you need. That gives the first conversation a practical basis for choosing the right arrangement.
